Links
Here are links to sites that I personally find usefull and/or believe others will. Nothing in this list will be for me to get some votes for a topsite or any other nonsense like that.
Commercial products
Aston Shell
A replacement shell for windows, it replaces the explorer shell and I think it's much better and definatly more customizable. I use it with Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Directory Opus and so my whole shell including web browser, email client, and file manager are all replaced by better, more stable, more customizable programs.
Aston is well worth the money.. it's $28 and with it you no longer need worry about explorer crashing.
Directory Opus
Directory Opus is a full replacement of the explorer file manager/file browser. It is a bit costy I think, but if you can afford it without it hurting you (it's $85-$240 depending on what license you want) and if you plan on using windows for a long while more then I highly recommend it. It is more than just a file manager, it can display images and replaces winzip, it also does FTP and more that I haven't messed with myself.
Wacom
The official site for Wacom Tablets. Any artist who works with programs like Photoshop and other image editing software probably wants one of these, though don't order it from the official site. They are expensive, but you can safe $50 or so from ordering from amazon.com or tigerdirect.com instead. My intuos 3 9x11 tablet costed around $450 I believe and it works wonderfully.
VMware
Makers of VMware workstation and more. Want to run linux in windows? Or windows in Linux? Or perhaps two versions of linux or windows at the same time? Or even more that that. VMware workstation creates a virtual computer running on your computer so that is all possible. A perfect way to learn linux at your own pace.
Other Products (free)
The Gimp
The Gimp for Windows. A free image editing program that I feel is better than Adobe Photoshop, though I admit I use Photoshop because I don't know how to get my wacom tablet working correctly in The Gimp, but for anyone without a Wacom Tablet, go with the Gimp, though not yet beginner friendly if you give it a chance you'll learn to love it.
Autopatcher
If you run windows and you ever have to reinstall then you want this, you want it so bad you can taste it. It'll save you alot of time and aggrivation. What is it? Just click the link, they explain it nicely on the page the link goes to. You have a hint at what it does from the name though.

Annoyances.org
"Annoyances.org is the most complete collection of information assembled for and by actual users of Microsoft Windows."
Webdesign and other design Resources
W3 Schools
This is probably the best site to learn webdesign at, they teach everything you need to get started and it's free. They also teach about webstandards and not designing for a specific browser, I highly recommend this website.
PHP resources CGI resources
These pages are two pages of the same site, but I figured I would make it easy on you. It is a very usefull site for web developers.
Invisionfree
Free message boards with ads for those who can't host their own forum for one reason or another.
phpbb
A free message board you download and setup on your server, no ads and you can edit it all you want, though if you don't pay for it they prefer it if you leave their button somewhere on your forum. I would leave it there anyways out of respect for the people who made this, alot of work has gone into it.
Photoshop Help
Well, you want to use photoshop? Maybe you have to like me? Here is a usefull site with lots of help if you get stuck.
Css Edge
A site with neat examples of what you can do with CSS that most people don't seem to know. For more examples see visit CssPlay. (link in favorite list to the right)
Linux Related
Mandriva Linux
The Mandriva Distro of Linux, was once called Mandrake. The first distro I've tried and the only one I used much really. I like it and no matter what some tell you, it is freely available. You can purchase it aswell and the versions you purchase may have more software and/or help included. Can't find out how to download it for free? Email me and I'll help as they had it setup in a confusing way last I checked.
Ubuntu Linux
Ubuntu seems to be getting quite popular, though I've not used it much it seems nice, though I think most new to linux may prefer Kubuntu which is Ubuntu based on KDE instead of Gnome. Both can easily be gotten free through this link.
Linux Newbie Guide for Ubuntu
A great newbie guide for those just moving to linux, it was written for Ubuntu as it's getting so popular.

Entertainment
Diggnation
A great podcast that covers the week's top rated stories from digg.com. There are also a few other good podcasts hosted there at Revision3.com that are good. Examples of a couple.. Ctrl+alt+chicken is a humorous cooking podcast and Systm is a computer related podcast.
Ask a ninja
A hillarious podcast inolving a Ninja who answers fan's questions. It's a must see.
Digg.com
A social news site similar to slashdot.
Slashdot
A social news site similar to digg, I prefer Digg.
WebComics
Falcon Twin
Another webcomic that I read. It's not bad, though the author has a bad attitude about almost everything. I often find links that I like on his main page aswell. Do not bother with this comic if lots of violence and lesbian romance offends you.
TwoKinds
Another webcomic I read, if you don't like cat people and such, this one is not for you. Pretty mild comic, so far I've seen nothing I'd think goes beyond maybe a PG13 raing if even that.
Cherigirl
This comic hasn't gotten far enough for me to know if I like the story, but the art is wonderfull and the author is very nice. She doesn't get to update to often, but I wouldn't hold that against her.
